Persian Darbar’s journey began in the year 1976 , when the Late Mr. Abubakar Kotwala, along with his close friends,
established the first outlet in Byculla. Built on the simple yet powerful belief that food prepared with honesty,
warmth, and authentic flavour can create lasting memories, the restaurant quickly found a place in the hearts of
Mumbai’s diners. What started as a modest dining space soon grew into one of the city’s most recognised names,
admired for its generous portions,Flavours satisfying customers taste buds, and commitment to tradition.Over the
years, this legacy has been carefully nurtured by the Kotwala family, who have remained true to the original vision.
The second generation, led by Mr. Javed Abubakar Kotwala, ( Owner of Persian Darbar) strengthened the
foundation of Persian Darbar while preserving the values that made it a trusted part of Mumbai’s food culture.
